Bond Street is the epitome of London elegance. It is considered to be the most expensive shopping street in the British capital; along its length, elegant boutiques selling luxurious designer goods jostle with bespoke perfumeries, jewelry, art and antiques, as well as prestigious court suppliers of goods to the royal family.
But Bond Street is not static and stultified with its luxury. It remains a vibrant place where celebrities, artists, and stars have mingled for over 300 years, bringing their own eclectic style and flavor to the place. It is to this fascinating, unique mix of history, metropolitan chic and modern art that Hugh Parsons dedicates his perfume, Bond Street.
Bond Street opens with a delicate bergamot greenness spiked with leafy ivy notes that bristle with energy and direction. This is the ode to the British traditions and storied history of the street. But the floral heart reveals a richly exotic mix of jasmine and magnolia, their rudely creamy floralcy pointing towards the more relaxed, sexual ambiance of artists and singers. In the base, masculine notes such as cedar and amber are surrounded by a subtly musky ambrette seed, finishing the perfume on a cloud of soft, nebulous luxury.
